This model plane represents the America West Airlines 757-200 ship N902AW as it appeared in a new “Teamwork Coast to Coast” livery. The new design, featuring popular landmarks from across the country, emerged from an employee contest, submitted by an analyst and was introduced in June 2000. In October 1994, two months after emerging from bankruptcy, America West unveiled its first “Teamwork” colors to celebrate its employees, customers, partners, and other agencies that made the turnaround possible. The design was from the daughter of an America West pilot.
